Our Rates

Standard Rate:
Our standard rate for all services, including all advanced
website features, is a very reasonable $30 per hour.
Websites
costs can range from $50 to thousands of dollars, depending upon
their complexity. For
this reason, we prefer to offer firm quotes on the cost of your
website after we have had a thorough discussion about your requirements.
We are quite willing to modify agreements about project costs if
you decide to add more features to your site as the work proceeds.
In order to get a rough approximation of the costs
associated with developing your site you may want check out our
portfolio. In each case we have tried to indicated an estimate
of what it would cost to develop a similar site, so you
can compare the features with your own expectations and get some
idea as to what the associated costs might be.
In addition to the costs associated with developing
your site, you also need to include the cost of hosting your site
on the Internet. In some cases, hosting may be available to you
without charge (see
this information for businesses
in Stirling-Rawdon and Centre Hastings). If your site is of small
to medium size we can also assist with finding hosting at
very low cost. For example, Nameroute.ca is
currently offering domain name registration and a full year of
hosting (up to 30 Mb) for about $24 CDN. For larger sites, we would
recommend obtaining regular hosting at a monthly rate, and we can
help you make those arrangements.
Rates for Public Service Sites:
We try to be responsible members of our community, so each year
we take on a limited number of sites that we develop at much reduced
prices for non-profit
community groups. We also sponsor services on the Internet
such as canadianwildflowers.com and coursesforteachers.com.
If your non-profit group is interested in developing
a website, feel free to contact us. We will consider your project,
if we are available and our workload permits.
Discounts:
Large projects are somewhat easier for us to handle because they
require proportionately less time spent in marketing, developing
graphic themes and setting up navigation - all activities that
need to be done only once. As a result, we offer clients with larger
projects (over $1000) reduced hourly rates between $25 and $27.50
CDN per hour.
Maintenance Agreements:
Websites that are constantly updated invite repeat visitors. A
good example of this would be centrehastings.com which
started with less than 1000 visitors per month and is now receiving
about 5 times that amount of traffic because the Welcome
Page and Calendar
of Events are frequently updated. (Thanks, Crichton!)
We offer monthly maintenance contracts at less than our regular
hourly rate, for those clients who want to update their sites frequently.
Each contract is negotiated separately, and the price is based
on our experience in the time required to maintain the site on
a monthly basis. Maintenance agreements are only available to own
clients, and we do restrict the number of agreements we will enter
into in order to guarantee quick service (usually in much less
than 24 hours) for our customers.
