are free for your personal non-commercial use. You are also welcome
to use any pictures Bob has posted in his portfolio at ShutterCity,
in the same way.
Free Page Hosting
If you are operating a business or community service in the Municipality
of Centre Hastings or the Municipality
of Stirling-Rawdon (Southern
Ontario, Canada) you may be interested in services that are provided
to you free-of-charge by these municipalities. We manage both of
these sites and we would be pleased to arrange these services for
you.
In the Municipality of
Centre Hastings each business and community group is entitled
to:
- listings on both the Alphabetical
Business List and the Business
List by Category;
- an external picture of your business on the Photo
Tour;
- a single web page with a picture of your choice and your contact
information (sample);
and
- posting of your special events information and public service
announcements on the Calendar
of Events.
You
may send the picture to be used to us directly at Tanapics,
35 Wilson Rd. RR4, Stirling, Ont. K0K 3E0, or call (613) 395 5101
to arrange to have one of our staff take it for you. If
you have items for the Calendar
of Events, you are welcome to send
them to Crichton Harrop using the information supplied at the top
of this page,
or forward them directly to Tanapics.
In the
Municipality of Stirling-Rawdon each
business and community group is entitled to:
- a listing on the List
of Area Businesses and Other Sites of Interest;
- an external picture of your business on the Virtual
Tour of the Village of Stirling or Area
Map;
- a single web page your contact information (no picture, sample);
and
- posting of your special events information and public service announcements
in the Coming
Events section.
The
Municipality
of Stirling-Rawdon has also granted permission for the subsidiary posting
of small business websites if room is available in the space
provided for the municipal site on the host server. (example).
Free Site Reviews
The technology associated with website development is progressive, and a site
that has not seen major revision in a couple of years is likely not serving its
purpose as well as it could.

that have been developed in FrontPage. In those cases where we
have revised sites
constructed in FrontPage, we
have always rebuilt the entire site in Dreamweaver MX 2004 and
remove all the embedded references to Microsoft Server Extensions
that are implicit in the use of FrontPage.
