The Website Development Process

Step 4: Content Development

No one knows your business as well as you do, so it is likely that you will provide most of the content to be placed on your website - often using the files from print materials and pictures that you may already have available. If not, we can assist in this process, and our photographer is available to take both regular pictures and video if you plan to include that on your website.

If the material you want to post is already available in some other document or presentation, it's best to send us the electronic files and let us figure out the best way to change them into web-friendly material. If you only have print material, we can usually convert it to editable text by using the OCR (optical character recognition) feature on a scanner. Rescanned pictures, taken from print documents, are usually of poor quality, however, so it is best to work from the original photographs or have us take new digital images.

At each step of this process, as the content you provide is entered on the website, you will be able to follow our progress on a test Internet site, and provide feedback with your preferences.
